There is a recent food scandal in taiwan regarding the use of plasticizer DEHP in place of palm oil as a cheaper alternative. DEHP has many effects, which includes affecting hormones in children. These people are trying to earn more profit and yet they give excuses for these illegal usage of harmful chemicals, such as palm oil being short-lived and gave off a badd odor afterr a while. Would all these food be better off being short lived and having a bad odor, or having chemicals that destroy humans?
All these food were actually made and allowed to be produced by them. They said that since the clouding agents sector only consist of a small part of these large chemical companies, they would not use all these unsafe chemicals. However, the authorities have confirmed that these clouding agents are unsafe. So are lives or money more important to them?
